Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) is also known as Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME) and it primarily affects young adults and resembles a prolonged flu-like illness. By definition the symptoms must be present for at least six months before it can be labelled as chronic fatigue syndrome.
